And this one is fun! Another "warshrag" from the Mason-Dixon book. It's the Ballband Dishcloth that's been printed on the Peaches & Creme labels for years. It's a very quick knit. Plus, it really does look quite impressive! Like I have some mad skillz...
Here's the finished Mason-Dixon washcloth. It's so pretty, I don't want to use it. But then again, I am curious to see how it will hold up under pressure. I've already got another one on the needles in a light green color. I can see myself creating a whole stack of these as I have a sizeable stash of cotton hidden in the closet. I also have a ball of hemp somewhere that I would like to try out. The hemp with it's rough texture might be ideal for pot scrubbing.
My son's senior prom was last night. And luck be had, it was also the 4th Annual Spam Jam. All of Waikiki's main drag was shut down for a huge block party. My daughter and I had a great time enjoying music from a couple of awesome local bands, Pimpbot and Go Jimmy Go. If you like that ska sound, check these guys out.
We totally stuffed ourselves at the Cheesecake Factory even though there were several booths dolling out the SPAM fare. My daughter and I just do not have the same SPAM fixation as most Hawaii residents. Not even when said "meat" is used in some yummy sounding dishes like SPAM crouquette with creamy dill sauce and SPAM taco with greek salad. But it was all for the great cause of providing food for those in need. Unfortunate that I was unable to grab photos of the event as Waikiki has some very colorful characters and street artists. The camera ended up going to the prom also.
Here is the lovely couple before their big night out...notice the little sheep bag Gena is carrying?!
Congratulations to your son on graduating! He and his date look so CUTE. Love that sheep bag :-)

hi. I just found your blog through your comment on mine. Love it! The "warshrag" is great and your son is adorable (although I'm sure a teenage boy would rather not be called adorable:).
