I love the Ribbon Jar! They have special collections and this is one of their February '06 ribbon jars. I've been collecting ribbon for as long as I can remember and when I found out about this website, I just could not help myself. I ended up adding more to my shopping basket...the cherries on green is my favorite. The ribbon are like my beads, I have no specific projects in mind for them. But to me they are like bits of inspiration waiting to be put to use.
I've also been inspired by these angels and this show to start bringing to life some of the creatures running around in my brain. In high school(yes, a very long time agooooo!), I fancied myself a designer. And would spend endless hours designing rockstar outfits, dreaming of clothing gorgeous models by day, and dancing at the disco all night long!
Well, I guess I've mellowed quite a bit. All I want to do now is to make pretty things and be inspired by all of the greatness out there in blogland. Everyday there is someone out there that just blows me away.
I spent nearly 2 hours at a fabric shop the other day. I picked up the embroidery floss to use on the bodice of the doll's gown. The ribbon and lace I plan on using as parts of the skirt. I'm not much of an artist, but I'll try to get a scan of my sketch just to give you an idea of what this creature is going to look like or supposed to like!
Well, it's countdown time for Chloe, Santino, and Daniel V. I am so excited. I've even stopped watching Lost just so that I can catch re-runs of Project Runway. My fave? Daniel, of course.

oooh. I absolutely love ribbon and fibers! I'm so bad. My friends don't let me buy any if they're with me!

Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start because I just adore everything you make, the knits, the bead work and the embellishments (ribbons-I am crazy about ribbons) you choose. Love your blog!
